A cheese originating from France and Germany, now made in the U.S. as well. Domestic Muenster is ripened for about two weeks. More flavorful varieties may be ripened for up to eight weeks. Best when served with a fruity wine such as Riesling, Chenin Blanc, White Zinfandel or Pinot Noir.

Sandwiches – sliced, with beef, turkey, or chicken
Pizza – as an additioal cheese topping; Cheese platters – sliced with other cheeses
